Take a square and cut it as you wish into a finite number of pieces. Rearrange the pieces without rotating or flipping any of them to form an new square that is rotated 45-degrees compared to the
original.

One possible Solution (visual) by SteveH)
Steve, Printers and Monitors are not accurate. I'm not certain that comparing printouts is mathematically sound. Is there a way you can mensurate the Visual sketch and compare values of the segments? I have an attempt I thought was perfect until I did the sums. You may have a solution there.
