I die half my life and live the rest.
I dance without music and breathe without breath.
What am I ?
ok, man. calm down. You seem angry. I, myself, am a fifteen-year old, and trust me, that whole elements-die-half-their-life thing, wasn't quite the first thing that popped into my head.
Anyway, I'm not completely opposed to the idea of it being fire, because if you think about it, when it comes to fire, most of the descriptive words used to describe fire are metaphorical.
It says, "I die half my life" and it doesn't necessarily say that die means "is dead", and when a fire dies, it slowly goes out, and I'm not too sure, but it's possible that a fire spends the same amount of time in full flames as when in starts to go out, and finally go out.
As for fire breathing, fire does need oxygen to keep aflame. So, the fact that it needs oxygen to sustain its existance can be described as breathing without breath, because, as we know, fire doesn't exactly have lungs or nothing to take a breath with.
