What are the next two numbers in the following sequence:
1, 2, -3, 4, -11, -2, -7, -24, 41, -38, 117, 44, . . .
i agree with wof, the answer is 29, 278
to get the value of an odd term (starting with term 3) one must take the term 2 before that, and subtract from it the immediately previous term
-3=1-2(2) -11=-3-2(4) -7=-11-2(-2) and so on...
to get the value of an even term, one must add the term 3 before it, thrice the term 2 before it, and the term immediately before it
4=1+3(2)+-3 -2=3+3(4)+-11...
so, one gets term 13 to be 117-2(44)=29
and term 14 to be 117+3(44)+29=278
