Given a unit cube, what is the largest square that can be placed completely inside the cube?

If I understand the problem correctly, then the largest square to fit in a unit cube is √2.units and to be placed on the opposing two diagonals of two sides of the cube. Thus splitting the cube into to equal three dimensional triangles.
