You have two identical looking metal bars. One of them is a magnet, with North and South ends. The other is simply an iron bar (which is attracted by magnets).

How can you tell which is which, using only these two bars?

hold one bar in one hand,and the other bar in the other hand.see if they pull towardes eachother.now try flipping one bar over and drop it.if it still gets pulled by the other bar you can asume that the bar that pulled the other bar is the magnet.if it doesn`t get pulled and just lies there,the bar in your hand is the magnet.
