If a 7-11 store is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, then why are there locks on the doors?

The locks must be on the door for one of these reasons: (1) The same people who make brail drive through atms make 7-11 doors (2) If the nice man has to go potty who will watch the store? Well the locks of course (3) Perhaps its a scare tactic, if you're not nice, we'll lock the doors...don't make us do it!
