What is the logical criterion used to place the four different symbols that fills the 36 cells of the 6 x 6 grid ?

You two solved the puzzle. I almost wrote "it's more easy than you think" in the text. Congratulations !!

But, what left me PERPLEXUS, is that when I was posting the solution, I find myself wondering how to explain it. (first I wrote something like ...in a diagonal way, starting in the upper left corner...)

Do you know what I wrote ? I gave the order of the symbols, and draw exactily the diagram presented by Lisa , leaving no doubt of the way of filling!!!!!!
