Might Merely Meet (Posted on 2005-06-07) Difficulty: 2 of 5
A boy and a girl agree to meet in the park. Each will show up at a random time between 12:00 and 13:00, and wait for the other person 20 minutes, but not past 13:00.

What is the probability that they will actually meet?

100% because they cannot go before 12:39 because they meet between not from. and since it's 20mins form 12:40-13:00 it cannot be 12:41 because over limit and it has to be between. also it has to start at 12:01 because of the between rule. so that leaves only 38 mins. at latest the other will come at the first ones 20 min limit so they will see each other right before the first one leaves.
