Eight cards are placed in the diagram shown below, one in each numbered cell. These are the facts:
a) There are 2 Aces, 2 Kings, 2 Queens and 2 Jacks.
b) Every Ace borders a King.
c) Every King borders a Queen.
d) Every Queen borders a Jack.
e) No Queen borders an Ace.
f) No two cards of the same kind border each other.

I just tried to solve it in a similar way to last time with corner cards being classed as bordering each other and it can't be done.
By elimination I found 6 had to be a King and then 4 had to be a Jack but in doing so then 3 and 5 have to be either both Queens, both Aces or one Ace and one Queen. This goes against Facts e and f so it can't be done this way.
