A wire structure in the form of a cube has a resistance of one ohm in each edge. An electrical circuit is formed by connecting a one volt battery to a pair of diagonally opposed vertices of the cube. What is the current, in amperes, in the wire connecting the battery to the cube structure?
This is a classic Oxford Physics interview question.
I answered it (with quite a lot of help I may stress) in my own interview a whole 7 years ago now.
So if you know anyone going to interview there next year, make sure to aquaint them with this excellent problem - they probably don't ask this one any more, but it gives you some idea of the harrowing questions they throw at you.
