From a Balloon (Posted on 2005-07-07) Difficulty: 3 of 5
If a stone is dropped from a balloon on a still day, does the stone fall directly below the balloon, or to the west or east of it?

If it is a still day nothing has to move right so how can the balloon drop the stone if it is a still day.

or it depends because when the balloon drops the stone it does not stay still it moves side to side so it depends which side the balloon moves, not which side the stone drops.

or the stone does not actually get dropped. if it is a still day there is no air so the balloon and the stone just floats in th air.

please don't make fun of my comment, it is worth a try.
