Life Cycle in Color (Posted on 2003-02-05) Difficulty: 3 of 5
It's black when it's not in use, it's red when it's in use, and it's grey when you're done using it. What can this be??

Hi Gautam,

I think I have mentioned clearly that it's the wick of a candle, which is black initially( when not in use,or may be after used for the first time and then blown away before being used completely). So it is not necessary that all candle wicks are initially black !!!! So also it holds for the front part of a matchstick.........
