Bob's start looked a lot similar to mine... and then I read Dustin's thing about the title and there could be 8 numbers in the sequences and consequently we could be looking for just the last number... And then I was thinking about what else the title could mean... What if the previous numbers have nothing to do with the next one... what if the late eight is simply referring to an 8 that falls late in the sequence... continuing that thought, what if the last number of all three is just an 8? I don't think this is it, but its a thought...
