You take me without asking
Yet you never want me.
You can find me where no-one else has,
Yet I can be shared.
You can give me back again,
But I will not leave you.

What am I?

Blame ?

I take blame without asking for it (usually), yet I never want it. I can find it where no one else has (as when I take blame for a unique wrongdoing), yet blame can be shared (and usually is). I can always give the blame back ("You're just as bad as me") but that doesn't make it leave me.
