1) Mrs. Astor was insulted by Mr. Blake who sat next to her on her left.
2) Mr. Blake was insulted by Mrs. Crane who sat opposite him across the center of the table.
3) Mrs. Crane was insulted by the hostess who was the only person who sat between a married couple.
4) The hostess was insulted by the only person who sat between two men.
Who insulted the hostess?

re: Solution - by hand by pcbouhid)
Basically what I did was I first determined the order of which men and
women had to be sat so that only one person was sitting between two
men.
Once I had that determined, I then coupled the men and women
arbitrarily so that there was only one person sitting between a married
couple.
Once all this was done, there was only one place where mr. Blake could
be sitting so that a women (that was not his wife) was on the right of
him and sitting across from him. After that I could fill in their
spoused based on the coupling I had done previously.
