What is the maximum proportion of space that can be filled with an infinite number of identical spheres?

I fear that trying to fill space with points you could spend several Pan-Galactic time units and not even fill the universe's smallest of boxes. Even if you had spheres of diameter P (the smallest spheres knowen to sentients) it would take too long to fill any significant space. Although if you were lucky enough to have infinite time on your hands the answer would still be as Bractals stated. I seem to recall this solution has never been rigorously proved? I'm giving this prob a five for the name, wish I'd thought of it!
