You have heard of a "cheating heart" but now you can experience a "cheating hint."  It is cheating because I read the official solution, and have been kicking myself ever since.  What you need to realize is that Roy G. Biv was not the name of the spectrum guy in spite of what your science teacher told you -- the guy's name really was Roy G. Bip but he had a speech impediment that made it sound like Biv rather than Bip.  Consult Penny if you need more information.
