Determine the next term in the following sequence of numbers.

4,3,5,4,3,6,8,7,7,__

Note : Think about the number of letters in some 'Numerical' (but English) words.

My guess would be 6,9,9, of those two.

That could possibly translate to a sequence of 3,4,5,9,10,11,14,15,16,20,21,22...

In that case, it would be 4 sets of 3 numbers - the median of each set being 6, 10, 15....and 21 in this case.

What I can't figure out is, IF the sequence was in fact based around the first few triangle numbers, why it didn't begin with 3,5,4 (2,3,4)...or even 4,3,3 (0,1,2)
