Michael, I looked at you sequence: 3,4,5,9,10 ......

I didn't really understand your view point.
I had recognised sets of 'triples' but I had not thought about a triangular sequence, and I did pick up on that, especially when I saw where Hugo was suggesting "fourteen" as a possible.

If the solution that I have posted is correct, does it overcome some of your questions that "What I can't figure out is, IF ...."
