With regard to mindrod's initial comment (I did not see its antecedent), I strongly suspected this was mindrod's way of saying
"This is too hard. I am giving up. Here is part of a solution I found on the net but I don't understand it either. Someone explain it to me.".
No real harm was done.
ps: Should ppl who have solved problems in "the queue" be commenting?
