Britannia Rule The Waves and
Brittania Rule The Waves Part 2? Here's another one for you, but this time, find the next three terms in this numerical sequence:
25, 78, 66, 07, 27, 77, 70, 83, 83, ??, ??, ??
Hint: This time, the title bears more relevance to the puzzle.
OK, I think I got this. This sequence uses all the British rulers named Edward - the numbers represent the last two digits of the years in which their reign ended:
925 Edward the Elder
978 Edward the Martyr
1066 Edward the Confessor
1307 Edward I
1327 Edward II
1377 Edward III
1470 Edward IV
1483 Edward IV
1483 Edward V
Edward the IV is on there twice because he lost the throne in 1470, then regained it a year later until his death in 1483.
The title was a great hint, with the "ed" separated in the word "ruled."
ANYWAY, the final three numbers in the series would be 53, 10, and 36, corresponding with the last years of the reigns of Edwards VI (1553), VII (1910), and VIII (1936).
