Any and all forms of precipitation, such as rain, snow, sleet and hail. They fall one by one (droplet by droplet/flake by flake) as discrete objects, into the depths of past (infiltration upon reaching the ground to penetrate into the deep layers of soil, which were built there layer by layer as time passed (sedimentation). They are upturned (as a puddle or perhaps a heap of hailstones/snow) when they hit the ground. An effect of this is that the inner H20 molecules will not evaporate/melt so they can last in the state in which they fell from the sky.
