Shadows are areas of reduced light, and are therefore always the same color. The only variation of color that you see is due to the surface they are reflected on, and therefore the variation is not an alteration of the color itself. I can make a shadow "fly" by putting a rotating light on the floor of a room and stand over it. My shadow will "fly" over the ceiling as the light moves.
