Austin Ruth (Posted on 2006-04-08) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Austin Ruth knows how to put personas in their places. Are you up to this trivial task?

Fix this list of names by putting the leading characters in their proper sequence:

      Baker, Samantha
      Brogan, Monty
      Durrance, Jack
      Law, Gabe
      Pike, Jefferson F.
      Tudeski, Jimmy

If we were to continue the sequence, what name(s) would come next, and how far could we extend this list?

This was fun and easy.  IMDB even provides a search feature that lets you search for "characters" by name. Resequencing the leading characters had a clear and absolute answer, which I enjoyed.  The puzzle title was perfect.

My only wish is that the instructions for the second task would be rephrased to substitute "might" or "could" for "would" come next, since the latter implies that there is only one correct answer, and we've been given no criteria for choosing a best alternative.
