well.....perhaps the counter weight in an elevator, this is my explanation

first two lines: the weight goes down when you take the elevator up and goes up when you take the elevator down.

3rd line: elevator shafts arent very big may feel like a cell

4th line: its goes up adn down and up and down and for every time it goes up it has to come down...
