100 monkeys have together 1600 bananas. Show that at least four monkeys have the same number of bananas.

Solution 1617 reasons | Comment 1 of 11
If three monkeys had 0 bananas, three had 1 banana, three had 2 bananas, ... three had 32 bananas, and one had 33 bananas, there would be 1617 bananas. Thus, some monkey(s) need have less bananas, and we'd have at least four monkeys with the same value.
