100 monkeys have together 1600 bananas. Show that at least four monkeys have the same number of bananas.
Unsure of how to determine the answer theoretically I took a more practical approach.
I placed the 100 monkeys in a room and began to distribute 1600 bananas. Unfortunately, the monkeys quickly became bored and began to trade bananas thus confusing the whole situation.
To overcome this I gave each monkey a typewriter to keep them occupied, and began again.
Now the monkeys became so busy writing Shakespearian plays that they ignored the bananas entirely.
I am currently saving up for some more bananas . . . they are currently very expensive here in Australia.
I am also checking our Parliament and the United States Congress for less intelligent monkeys . . .
