An object is sliding from top of a ball to the ground. This object starts from rest and slides without friction. At what height will the object get apart from the ball's surface if the radius of the ball is r meters?
If it is perfectly centered it won't slide unless given at least a little nudge. But since you give the condition that it is in fact sliding then it will seperate from the ball at "R" meters from the top of the ball or when it passes the "equatorial" line of the diameter. This will also equal "R" meters from the ground if the ball is resting on the ground.
