Using only half of a chess board you may place five queens anywhere. After you place them, I move each queen at most once with standard queen moves. If I make a horizontal five-in-a-row, I win. Can you beat me?
(a1, a2, a3, h2, h3)
In fact, as far as I can tell, the a1 queen can be moved anywhere on the board and this solution will still work.
I didn't spend much time thinking about this, so I may be wrong. Seems to be right, though.
