The numbers 1 to 9 are to appear once in every row, column, long diagonal, 3x3 grid and irregular shape. Light cells are odd; darker cells are even. From the starters given, can you finish the puzzle?
Another wonderful puzzle to work on! As with the last one Josie recently posted, I enjoyed this puzzle immensely! Of course, sudoku and its variations are always fun, but this just adds different twists to it. My solution, which matches Lukahn's, is below:
-------------------------------------
| 3 | 1 | 9 | 6 | 4 | 7 | 8 | 5 | 2 |
----+--+--+--+--+---+--+--+---
| 8 | 7 | 6 | 3 | 5 | 2 | 9 | 4 | 1 |
----+--+--+--+--+---+--+--+---
| 5 | 4 | 2 | 8 | 1 | 9 | 3 | 7 | 6 |
----+--+--+--+--+---+--+--+---
| 9 | 5 | 3 | 1 | 2 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 4 |
----+--+--+--+--+---+--+--+---
| 7 | 2 | 1 | 4 | 8 | 3 | 6 | 9 | 5 |
----+--+--+--+--+---+--+--+---
| 4 | 6 | 8 | 7 | 9 | 5 | 2 | 1 | 3 |
----+--+--+--+--+---+--+--+---
| 6 | 3 | 5 | 9 | 7 | 1 | 4 | 2 | 8 |
----+--+--+--+--+---+--+--+---
| 2 | 9 | 4 | 5 | 3 | 8 | 1 | 6 | 7 |
----+--+--+--+--+---+--+--+---
| 1 | 8 | 7 | 2 | 6 | 4 | 5 | 3 | 9 |
-------------------------------------
Looking forward to many more great puzzles down the road! Thanks for this one, another winner!
