Which fits in with Charlie's clue about St-El-Lar words. St = state; El = elements. So what does Lar mean?

Looking at the third list, we've got:

HE = Helium
AM = Americium
ACID = Actinium, Idaho
ACES = Actinium, Einsteinium
AMAZES = Americium, Arizona, Einsteinium
OUTRIDE = Oxygen, Utah, Rhode Island, Delaware
ACTIVATE = Actinium, Titanium, Virginia, Tellurium

I'm not sure what order that's in, though.
