Its an egg
EXPLANATION:
At the outset, the egg shell corresponds to
the "marble hall" in the first line of the
puzzle text. The crystal clear fountain in the third
line must correspond to the egg whites. The
"golden apple" as mentioned in the fourth line
must be the egg yolk which is gold (or yellow)
in colour which is located inside the outer
covering . The fifth line states that "it has
no doors" which is enirely true because
normally eggs do not possess any holes or
openings.
The sixth and the final line inter-alia
suggests that the egg yolk is much more tastier
than its outer covering. Consequently, most
eggs are consumed together with their corresponding
yolks.
