Moonlight in the gloomy night of life.
I can soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak.
Life would be an error without me.
And I separate the generations.
I express the inexpressible.
The art most nigh to tears and memory.
On which silence is impossible.
I am the shorthand of emotion.
I should strike fire from the heart of man
and a woman I should bring to tears.
Only I can name the unnameable and communicate the unknowable.
The speech of angels.

re: Intrusion by Vernon Lewis)
Vernon, I had come across the Richter connection whilst in the Forum and this seemed to me that while "music" might be the answer, my related theme being "song".
My other thoughts related to the Welsh. I felt that "Lewis" had a Gaelic or Welsh connection. Interestingly there is the Isle of Lewis off the NW coast of Scotland. The title of "Lewis" was borne by a Welsh king about 1024, I think. [Then there was Harry Seccombe].
