You need to make it so that the sum in every row and column will be equal. To do that, you need to select two positive integers. The only numbers that you can place in the grid are those two integers, their sum, their difference, their product, or their quotient. You can place only whole numbers.

Yes, I understand that by choosing 2 integers I can create 4 others (may be 5 if -ve is allowed); that was what I meant by 'apply your rules'.
That therefore seems to me that I must fill the remaining 25 cells with a varied assortment of 6 (or 7 if -ve is allowed) integers, thus my choice of term 'replicate'.
