1, 3, 7, 13, 21, ...

What is the 600th member of the series?

What member, above the first, with fewer than 5 digits, is a perfect cube?

What member is a 5-digit palindrome that can also be read as a binary number?

What's the smaller of the two consecutive members that are 1000 apart?

In my haste I note that I missed including one palindrome from that set in an earlier response.

For the second question:
What member, above the first, with fewer than 5 digits, is a perfect cube?
I see a few respondents offering the number 343. 
I interpreted "the first" to clearly mean "1", the first of the sequence.

There is something in that question that has eluded me.  Is it the phrasing or is there some 'jargon' of which I am unaware?
