Where did the exra square in shape "B" come from?

The respective angles of incline of the blue triangle and the green triangle in each of the shapes A and B are different. In addition, the shape of A is concave while the shape of B is convex. Accordingly, Area(B) > Area(A) which, amongst other things, explains the  appearance of an extra square in shape B.
