Both my Father and my Father's Grandfather were born in years that can be expressed as [(m)^n - (n)^m], where 'm' and 'n' are both positive integers. In which years were they born ?
(Note: (a)^b implies: 'a' raised to the power of 'b', or 'a' multiplies 'b' number of times).
Shouldn't there be an added stipulation that n is greater than 1? If n equals 1, then the solution is trivial: n=1 and m = whatever year they were born in plus one.
Also, m = 1 will cause the equation to return negative values for any positive n, so since the year is positive, m = 1 can be eliminated.
