You are in a disreputable bar and decide to order a ten dollar drink. A particularly slinky character asks to make a bet over your drink. This is his proposal:
"I will place a flat peice of glass over the top of your drink (so it seals and nothing can go in or out while glass is in position) and proceed to drink your drink without moving or touching either glass or glass. I think a five dollar wager is about right."
Assuming there is not trickery involved, is this a bet you should take?

Consider the possible scenarios.
Scenario 1:
The charecter somehow performs the act which he said he would, causing the individual to lose the bet. This will cost the individual the cost of the drink together with the bet, amounting to $(10+5) = $15.
Scenario 2:
The character loses the bet prompting him to pay 5 dollars to the individual. Having regard to the dubious reputation of the bar and the questionable reputation of the character, it stands to reason that the said character will eventually either steal the drink or take it by force from the individual, costing a total loss of $(10+5) = $15 to the individual in the process.
Since, the two scenarios are exhaustive and mutually exclusive, it follows that the individual will always stand to lose the bet.
Consequently, it would not be advisable for the individual to take the bet.
