the better way to tell the story is, "Mrs. Orange shot, drown, and hung her husband all in the same night. The next day they were eating breakfast.
How is this possible?

due to the fact that matt just put "wet him and  hung him up to dry" is a dead giveaway for the answer, you have to make it sound different from what it really is.
