Solution Solution (with step by step walkthrough) | Comment 1 of 12

Clue E: E1 and E8 are blue.
Clue 1: D1 is green.

Clue F: F1 and F8 are white.
Clue 8: D8 is blue and H8 is white.
Clue H: H2 is white.
Clue C: C8 is not red. Row 8 already has both blues and whites, so it must be that C8 is green.
Clue 8: B8 is green. So all that is left for row 8 is that A8 and G8 are red.

Clue B: B1 and B7 are blue.
Clue 1: A1 is green.
Clue 7: A7 is blue.

Clue G: G1 is not red. So for row 1 to have both whites, it must be that G1 is white, which leaves C1 and H1 are red.

Clue 2: A2, B2, C2 and D2 are not blue. Column E already has both blues, so E2 is not blue. So for row 2 to have both blues, it must be that F2 and G2 are blue.
Clue F: Either F3 and F6 are red, or F4 and F7 are red. The / diagonal already has both reds so F3 is not red. So F4 and F7 are red.
Clue 7: D7 is red. Column H already has both whites, so H7 is not white. Row 7 already has both blues and reds, so H7 is green. So G7 is green, which leaves C7 and E7 are white.
Clue H: H4 is green.

The \ diagonal already has both greens, so F6 is not green. So for column F to have both greens, it must be that F3 and F5 are green, which leaves F6 is blue.
Clue 6: A6 is blue.

Row 6 already has both blues, so H6 is not blue. So for column H to have both blues, it must be that H3 and H5 are blue, which leaves H6 is red.
Clue 6: B6 is red.
Clue 3: G3 is blue.
Clue G: G4 is not red or green, so it must be that G4 is white. Row 6 already has both reds, so G6 is not red. So it must be that G6 is green and G5 is red.
Clue 6: E6 is green, which leaves C6 and D6 are white.
Clue 2: E2 is not red.
The / diagonal already has both reds, so E4 is not red.  So for column E to have both reds, it must be that E3 and E5 are red.

Column B and row 3 already have both blues, so B2 and C3 are not blue.  So for the \ diagonal to have its second blue, it must be that D4 is blue.

Column A, column B, and the / diagonal already have both blues, so A5, B5 and D5 are not blue.  So for row 5 to have its second blue, it must be that C5 is blue.

Column C already has both whites, so C3 is not white.  So for the \ diagonal to have its second white, it must be that B2 is white, which leaves C3 is red.
Row 2 already has both blues, so C2 is not blue.  So for column C to have its second blue, it must be that C4 is blue, which leaves C2 is green.

Clue 2: E2 is not red.  So for row 2 to have both reds, it must be that A2 and D2 are red, which leaves E2 is green.
To complete column E, it must be that E4 is white.
To complete the / diagonal, it must be that D5 is green.
To complete column D, it must be that D3 is white.
To complete row 5, it must be that A5 and B5 are white.

Row 3 already has two reds, so B3 is not red.  So for column B to have its second red, it must be that B4 is red, which leaves B3 is green.
To complete row 3, it must be that A3 is white.
To complete row 4, it must be that A4 is green.

So the completed table looks like:

    A   B   C   D   E   F   G   H
  +---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
1| g | b | r | g | b | w | w | r |
  +---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
2| r | w | g | r | g | b | b | w |
  +---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
3| w | g | r | w | r | g | b | b |
  +---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
4| g | r | b | b | w | r | w | g |
  +---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
5| w | w | b | g | r | g | r | b |
  +---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
6| b | r | w | w | g | b | g | r |
  +---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
7| b | b | w | r | w | r | g | g |
  +---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
8| r | g | g | b | b | w | r | w |
+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
Awesome puzzle as always, Josie!
