Third Envelope:

(b)The formula is in Envelope 1.

Which envelope contains the formula ?

What if we assume the problem tells us the answer?

If
1 is true
2 is false
3 is true

The formula is in 2 and nothing is contradicted.
This would be a valid solution then, right?
