What is the smallest cardinal number that its standard constructed English name encompasses the most distinct letters of the English alphabet?
It appears that Leming and I posted within TWO SECONDS of each other -- and I see that he also concludes with 2568, though I just found those by trial and error. Perhaps his number word list did not reach to septillion and octillion, else he would probably have included those (and boosted the letter count from 21 to 23). I decided to rely on the Wikipedia entry (via Google) for "standard dictionary numbers" -- though that article goes on to include "extensions of the standard dictionary numbers". The extended list does not have any spelled with J, K, or Z in any case -- not surprising perhaps considering the linguistic origins of the terms.
I see that Leming has posted another reply, while I was typing the above, so I'll pause to see his latest.
