All instructed people know that Flaps, Fleps and Flips are simply forms of Flops.
It is proved moreover that all Fleps are both Flips and Flops.
However there is a complication: Recently one found out that there are some Flips which are neither Flaps nor Fleps nor Flups, and in addition one found out that there are some Fleps which are neither Flaps nor Flups.
Admittedly, some Flaps and some Fleps and some Flups are Flips.
And now we know more about Flups: Some are Fleps, some are Flips, and some are both Flaps and Fleps.
In this common universe:
a) Are there Flips which are Flups, which are not Flops?
b) If a Flap is a Flep, then is it always a Flip?
c) If a Flap is a Flep, some of them could it be a Flup?
d) There is a creature that is both a Flap and a Flep and a Flip and a Flop and a Flup?
Actually all of these answers are contained in the paragraph somewhere -- it just takes putting together.
One assumption that's needed is that some of each type exist. In other words, if there are no Flaps, it's clear there can't be Flaps that are also flips, or any other combination.
a)
Are there Flips which are Flups, which are not Flops? No. The first statement says "...Flaps, Fleps, and Flips are simply forms of Flops" -- so there are no Flips which are not also Flops.
b)
If a Flap is a Flep, then is it always a Flip?
Yes. The second statement says "...all Fleps are both Flips and Flap" so if a Flap is a Flep, then since a Flep is a Flip, it follows that a Flap is a Flip.
c)
If a Flap is a Flep, could some of them be a Flup?
Yes. The statement in the third paragraph says "...some Fleps and some Flups are Flips" so if all Flaps are Fleps, and some Fleps are Flups, then some Flaps are Flups.
d) Is there a creature that is both a Flap and a Flep and a Flip and a Flop and a Flup?
Yes. By the last statement, "...Flups: Some are Fleps, some are Flips, and some are both Flaps and Fleps". We also note the second statement "...all Fleps are Flips and Flops" Since some Flups are Flaps and Fleps, and all Fleps are Flips and Flops, then some creatures that are Flups are also Flaps, Fleps, Flips, and Flops. Thus there is a creature that is both a Flap, Flep, Flip, Flop and Flup.
