If a 7kg object is thrown straight upwards at a speed of 10m/s(meters per second)
To what height will it rise?
note: gravitational constant = -9.8m/s

Let the initial velocity be u. When the object rises to the desired height (h), the velocity at that instant is 0.
In terms of the formula: v^2 = u^2 + 2*g*h, we have:
v=0, u=10, g= -9.8
Accordingly, h = (10^2)/(2*9.8) ~ 5.1
Consequently, the object will rise to a height of approximately 5.1 meters.
