Sixteen Cards (Posted on 2009-02-27) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Sixteen playing cards, four Aces, four Kings, four Queens, and four Jacks are arranged in a 4 x 4 grid. Based on the following information determine the placement of the cards. Suits are irrelevant.

1. Each rank appears only once in each column.
2. No card is horizontally adjacent to another card of the same rank.
3. No Aces appear in Row 1.
4. No Kings appear in Row 2.
5. No Queens appear in Row 3.
6. No Jacks appear in Row 4.
7. No Jack is vertically adjacent to a King.
8. No Ace is vertically adjacent to a Queen.
9. No Jacks and only one King appear in the top-left to bottom-right diagonal.
10. No Aces and only one Queen appear in the top-right to bottom-left diagonal.
11. The cards in Columns 1 and 4 are in the same order.
