At night they come without being fetched,
and by day they are lost without being stolen.

What are they?

so far all the answer but stars have been ruled out, but the sun is indeed a star so there goes that one too. I know I am being picky but oh well. ummmm..... How about everyone try really hard to forget that there are bugs in the day and we can use them as an answer?
