I was a little caught up with the way the second challenge was worded.

in the second, four of those triangles have the same value while the other three have a different value; both of these values differ by one [1]

I think I was reading more into it than I should have, and when I saw "a different value", I automatically thought I was looking for something like 34-34-34-34-35-35-35. That is, four triangles with one sum, and the other three with the other sum. Also, it says "both values differ by one", which seemed to go along with this interpretation. When I tried to find a triangle with sums of that nature, I couldn't seem to do so, and gave up.

I believe you are probably right and that I was making it more complicated than I should have, but that won't stop me from trying to find one with only two different sums.
