2. n^2-1 is a multiple of 8.

3. n^3-1 is a multiple of 10.

If you arrange this list in an ascending order, what number will be in the 55th place?

technically, nothing is said to disallow negative numbers.  Thus the list is infinite and has no smallest value.  Thus asking for the 55th value is meaningless, although one could argue that the limiting value of the 55th is -infinity.
