re: one possible choice | Comment 5 of 10 |
(In reply to one possible choice by Ady TZIDON)

Ady,
I see that you offer the digits 1, 2, 3 and 5 for the digits to compose six rods of length:
     1, √2, √3, 2, √5 and 3.

I have lifted and edited these values from my spreadsheet:
    a²   b²  c²       a     b      c
    1    2    3        1    √2   √3
    1    3    4        1    √3     2
    1    4    5        1     2    √5
    2    3    5       √2   √3   √5

From your comment above you have indicated 5 Pythagorean triples, please, which one have I missed?

Incidentally, whilst looking at Daniel's offering I am reminded that Broll presented the length 2√2 as an interpretation of the then wording "exactly one digit".

Looking back at his first comment he has followed the rules which I had defined but then I see Daniel has managed to interpret "using exactly one instance of a digit" in exactly the same vein (or that is my impression).

My intention was that just one solitary digit was to appear in any length attribute.

OH, how to word?
