With an assumption that one could venture in other bases with base-36 being the permitted high-end, the following may be the largest palindrome which is a product of two 3-digit numbers:

(base 36): YZ88ZY = ZKM * ZED

YZ88ZY₃₆ = 2115021454
ZKM₃₆ = 46102
ZED₃₆ = 45877
